Attention Coaches, Parents, PTA's and Booster Clubs

Sometimes we lose sight of it, but organized sports are kids' games, to be enjoyed and to foster character, to teach young people the right way to handle a competitive world.    And sometimes we're losing the innocence and values inherent in youth and high school sports.  The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center cannot change our current sports culture - who can? - but we have proven means to improve it.   So if you're looking for a dynamic program to kick off your sports season - no matter what age or school level - why not take advantage of acclaimed workshops by some of the best coaches and educators in the metropolitan area?   Our programs are endorsed by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, and were recently featured on the front page of the Feb. 21, 2009 Star-Ledger.   Our interactive Coaching Institute programs, under the direction of John McCarthy, an award-winning teacher and coach of several sports, can accommodate your coaches, parents, student-athletes in our intimate theater.   Or we can come to your school or organization and provide the same specific strategies for dealing with today's hot-button issues.      For more information, contact Museum director Dave Kaplan at david.yogi@montclair.edu or (973) 655-6891.
