1. Yogi Berra’s values, extraordinary accomplishments and lifelong commitment to the education of young people are the inspiration and foundation of the Museum & Learning Center bearing his name.
2.The YBMLC preserves and promotes the values of respect, sportsmanship, social justice and excellence through inclusive, culturally diverse, sports based programs and exhibits.
3. We provide a creative and enjoyable educational environment for children, so they understand how baseball and other sports teach social and cultural values that are as important off the field as on.
4. The exhibit area captures the rich history of baseball and the career of Yogi Berra, a wonderful learning experience for both adults and students alike.
5. The YBMLC conducts workshops for coaches, parents and athletes on character education, leadership, sportsmanship and lifelong lessons in sports.
6. Topical panel discussions and forums by leading sportswriters, educators and sports historians are staples of our learning center.
7. We host summer baseball and softball camps for boys and girls.
8 .The YBMLC hosts thousands of school children each year from the diverse population of the NY/NJ metropolitan area, teach them the values of good character, humility, integrity, fair play and respect through the example of how Yogi has lived his life.
